Coimbatore: While addressing the CODISSIA gathering as part of the Prime Minister's election campaign in Coimbatore, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy said, "Coimbatore is the Manchester of South India and our alliance is here to re-elect Modi as Prime Minister.
The opposition alliance is still searching for its PM candidate. Only Stalin is projecting Rahul Gandhi as the PM candidate. There is no consensus among the parties in the alliance. Only Narendra Modi is identified as the PM candidate among the 130 crore population of our country. We will win in all 40 parliamentary constituencies and also the 18 assembly seats."

"BJP has announced a lot of welfare schemes like farmers' subsidy and interlinking of rivers. If interlinking of rivers takes place, Godavari will be interlinked with the Cauvery which will be a great boon for the Delta farmers," he added.
"BJP is responsible for bringing the Defence corridor which will increase employment in the Districts. When a capable Prime Minister like Modi rules at the Centre, Tamil Nadu will prosper," reiterated the CM.
"Tamil Nadu stands first among States due to our leadership. Strong India will be built under PM Modi. A Prosperous Tamil Nadu and strong India is TMC's motto. And, that will be possible only under Modi's regime. People do not want DMK congress alliance", said Tamil Maanila Congress leader, G.K. Vaasan.
